BHEL set to receive budgetary support for R&D towards AUSC

BHEL is set to receive budgetary support from the government for research and development of power equipment for green power – advanced ultra super critical technology. The funding will come in the form of Rs 900 crore budgetary support from the government, spread over a period of three years starting from 2017-18. The total project cost for developing AUSC technology is estimated at Rs 1,554 crore. The R&D project for AUSC technology will be undertaken by a consortium of three government entities: BHEL, Indira Gandhi Centre of Atomic Research (IGCAR), and NTPC. It is expected that the technology development programme will be completed over a period of two and half years
