Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd is planning to set up a 2×660 MW as Unit 3 & Unit 4 in Kalisindh in Jhalawar district in Rajasthan. The project has received water allotment from Second phase of Kalisindh Dam by raising height of Dam from 316M to 319 M. Land required for the project is available. BHEL, PCRI, Haridwar was appointed as Environment Consultant for conducting REIA Study at site for obtain Environmental Clearance (EC).
As of January 2017, the project is awaiting environmental clearance and coal linkage. The project may be awarded under Case-2 bidding.
