JSW Energy plans 660 MW thermal power project

JSW Energy is planning to expand its existing Toranagallu power plant by addition of 1×660 MW Imported Coal Based thermal
power plant Toranagallu village in Sandur taluk, in Bellary District , in Karnataka. Land requirement will be 89.19 acres, which is
owned by the company. Imported coal requirements will be 2.25 MTPA. Area requirement for ash/pond dyke will be 8.0 acres.
Water requirement will be 32,000 m3/day, which will be met from its allocation for the Steel Plant.
