Powergrid Ltd through its 100 per cent subsidiary Powergrid Southern Interconnector Transmission System Limited (PSITSL) has commissioned 400 kV Cuddapah Madhugiri Transmission System. The project was under execution in the Southern Region-I is a 765 kV Vemagiri- Chilkaluripeta- Cuddapah line of 4500 MW Capacity Corridor will enable drawal of power from Odisha. The 60000 MW Raigarg Pugalur HVDC is also progressing as per schedule. The grid strengthening programme will make southern region power position comfortable.
