Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO) is setting up a 4 x 270 MW coal based thermal power plant in villages of Ramanujavaram, Eddulabayyaram & Seetharampuram in Manuguru mandal in Kothagudem district of Telangana.
The first unit of 270 MW is expected to go operational by June 2019. The project would use sub-critical thermal generation technology. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 73,000 million.
In May 2015, the company has awarded the EPC contract to BHEL to supply boiler and turbine equipment.
