About the Company :

ReNew Power Ventures Pvt. Ltd, an Independent Power Producer company, generates close to 545 MW of installed and operational clean energy capacity through wind across the states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Gujarat. Primarily a wholesale power generator, ReNew Power sells the output to state electricity boards and large industrial companies. The company has been backed by marquee investors like Goldman Sachs, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Asian Development Bank and Global Environment Fund. By end of March 2016, the company has reached 1 GW of clean energy project in India

In February 2017, JERA, the Japanese based company has acquired 10% stake . The company has also secured a loan from Asian Development Bank to the tune of USD 390 million.

In April 2018, the company had acquired Ostro Energy which had assets in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. It has over 1100 MW of power projects of which wind power constitutes to 670 MW.
