Department of Atomic Energy has found 18,000 tonne of uranium deposits were identified at Peddagattu, Lambapur and Chitrial in Nalagonda district of Telangana. The uranium concentration was 0.6 per cent as against 0.3 per cent in Tummalapalle in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. It plans to set up mining facility at the earliest by 2016.
