Damodar Valley Corp is planning to develop a 1600 MW coal based power project in Koderma in Jharkhand. The project involves setting up of 2 x 800 MW project. In August 2024, the company has awarded the EPC contract to BHEL, which includes includes supply, erection, and commissioning, as well as civil works. Key equipment for the project will be sourced from BHEL’s manufacturing facilities.
