Lalitpur Power Generation Co Ltd is a SPV promoted by the Shishir Bajaj Group of Companies for the development of a 1980 (3X660) thermal power project based on super critical technology at Lalitpur (Uttar Pradesh). The project was awarded to the Group by Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) after Expression of Interest (EoI) call and the subsequent bidding process. The revised cost of project is Rs 17,295.00 crore (increased from Rs 12,112.00 crore), which be funded through debt of Rs. 12,972.00 crore and equity of Rs. 4.4343 crore in a debt equity ratio of 75:25. The first unit of the plant got commissioned in September, 2015 and overall plant is scheduled to be commissioned by May, 2016.
