About the Company :
Lanco Amarkantak Power Limited , a subsidiary of Lanco Industries Ltd is setting up a power plant with a capacity of 1920 MW in two phases in Pathadi Village on Korba-Champa State High way in Chhattisgarh. Phase I had a capacity of 600 MW (2 x 300 MW) and been commissioned.
The company had commissioned 2nd unit of 300 MW in December 2015 and started supplying power to Haryana discoms.
The company has a coal supply agreement with South Eastern Coalfields Ltd, Indermani Mineral (I) Pvt Ltd & Omaxe Minerals Pvt Ltd, and PPA arrangement with PTC India Ltd for Unit I & II. The SCOD of Unit III & IV has got shifted to May 31, 2017 (from December 31, 2016) resulting into cost overruns. The total project cost has increased to Rs. 11779 Crs (from Rs. 10876 Crs). Third phase of the project of 2 x 660 MW is deferred by the company.
