About the Company :
AERL is an IPP promoted by the IndBharath group of companies. The company operates a 95 MW natural gas based combined cycle power plant at Valantharavai, Distt. Ramnad, Tamil Nadu. The plant which was implemented at a cost of around Rs. 3 billion commenced commercial operations in Feb 2006.
Earlier it used to supply its power to group captive clients but since Jan 2009 it has been selling power to TNEB on merchant basis. Wartsila India Limited was appointed as the O&M contractor and is valid until March 13, 2015.
