About the Company :
OTPC is a joint venture company promoted by ONGC, IL&FS Ltd and Government of Tripura (GoT). The company has set up a 726.6 MW (2 x 363.3 MW) Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power project in Pallatana, Tripura located about 60 kms from the capital city, Agartala. The project has a total cost of Rs.4,047 crore (originally Rs.3,418cr) financed in a debt to equity ratio of 3:1. The project debt of Rs.3,035 crore has already been tied-up. The power evacuation from the power plant is though a 400 KV double-circuit transmission line between Pallatana and Bongaigaon, Assam. The said transmission line is being built by North Eastern Transmission Company Ltd (NETCL).
NETCL is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) jointly promoted by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, PGCIL (rated CARE AAA) (26%), OTPC (26%), GoT (10%), Government of Assam (13%), Government of Mizoram (10%), Government of Manipur (6%), Government of Meghalaya (5%) and Government of Nagaland (4%)
