ST-CMS Electric Company Pvt. Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC. Based in Neyveli which is in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu in the southwest of India, ST-CMS has a 250 MW lignite-fired plant supplying electricity to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. It sits adjacent to the existing power station of Neyveli Lignite Corporate (NLC) and came online in December 2002. Together, the two sites produce 2,490 MW of power under a thirty-year agreement with the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and which fuels the homes and businesses of the region.
