Sambhav Energy Ltd was incorporated in October 2005, has set up a 20-megawatt agri-residue combustion-based power plant at Sirohi, with a capital expenditure of Rs.900 million. The project was completed by January 2010. The company has entered into a PPA with Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd – in the ratio 36:36:28 for a period of 10 years from the date of commencement of commercial operations – for supply of grid quality power.
