Established in 2003, Sri Sai Krishna Hydro Energies Private Limited (SSKH) is a part of the Greenko Group. During April 2012, the Greenko group acquired a minority stake of 38.72% in SSKH from the erstwhile promoters; furthermore Greenko has taken over the management control as on July 1, 2013, by increasing the stake to 60.47%. SSKH is currently operating two small hydro projects aggregating to 10 MW (Luni II 5 MW and Luni III 5 MW); both the projects are located on Luni Khad, tributary of Binwa Khad which is inturn a tributary of Beas River located in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. The project is awarded by the Government of Himachal Pradesh on BOT model for an agreement period of 40 years, which can be extendable for further 20 years. The company has entered into 40 years power purchase agreement with Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) for offtake of power generated from the plant at a fixed price of Rs.2.95 per kwh.
