KPCL to consider 600 MW super critical thermal plant at Raichur

KPCL Raichur plant has completed 25 years and is facing frequent shutdowns. It is generating 230 MW at far below its
capacity of 430 MW. Now, to renovate them would need an investment of Rs. 4000 million. KPCL has asked BHEL to study the
power plant and it has suggested a 600 MW with clean super critical technology with an investment of Rs. 30000 million. KPCL is
considering both the options
