NTPC to relocate Kayamkulam power plant

NTPC is planning to carry out a technical feasibility report to relocate Kayamkulam gas based power plant in Kerala to another location where gas pipeline infrastructure is available. Currently, the plant is run using imported naphtha which makes the power produced unviable and its plant load factor is around 5%. The state government has requested the central government to relocate the same.
