About the Company :
APNRL has entered into an MoU with the Government of Jharkhand to set up a 1,080 MW coal-based thermal power plant. As a first step towards this, the company had set up a 540 MW (2 x 270) power plant at villages Padampur and Srirampur in Sareikela-Kharsawan district. The fuel linkage of the power station was from captive Ganeshpur coal block, which has been allotted to APNRL and Tata Steel on a 50:50 joint venture basis. The company has secured tapering coal linkage (to take care of the coal requirements till the captive mine is operational) for 540 MW. The Company is executing the project on a split package basis and has placed the order for the BTG package contract with BHEL for the entire 540 MW. The BOP will be constructed with contracts to various parties.
