Viaton Energy Pvt. Ltd. (VEPL) is a joint venture between 3F Foods Fats and Fertilizers Ltd and Creative Group (49%) to set up a 2×10 MW biomass fuel based thermal power project at Mansa District, Punjab. VEPL plant is located in the agricultural belt of Mansa, Punjab. VEPL has entered into PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) with PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. to supply power @Rs.5.05 /unit with 5% normative annual escalation for determining the variable tariff component for 13 years. VEPL will source the fuel (biomass waste like cotton stalk, paddy straw, rice husk and cow dung) directly from farmers.
